Custom Branding
Replace Propper's default branding with your own throughout the entire signing experience. Recipients see your logo and colors in invitation emails, the signing page, and completion certificates — not Propper's.

Custom branding is available for your account. Go to Settings > Branding to get started.
What gets branded
Your brand appears across all touchpoints in the signing flow:
- Email notifications — invitation emails, reminders, completion confirmations, and declined notifications
- Signing page — the page recipients interact with when reviewing and signing
- Completion certificates — optional branding on the signed document certificate
Recipients interact entirely within your branded experience.
Setup
Go to Settings > Branding > Enable Custom Branding.

Logo
Upload your logo to appear in email headers, the signing page, and optionally on certificates.
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Supported formats | PNG, JPG, SVG |
| Maximum file size | 2 MB |
| Recommended dimensions | 200 × 60 px (auto-scales) |
| Best practice | Transparent PNG for adaptability across backgrounds |
Use a horizontal layout for best results — square logos appear small in email headers and the signing page header. A transparent background ensures your logo looks good across different page styles and email clients.
Colors
Primary color — used for buttons, links, and progress indicators Secondary color — used for hover states, borders, and accents
Choose colors with sufficient contrast for accessibility. Propper warns you if a color combination falls below acceptable contrast ratios.

Email branding
Customize the content and appearance of each email type:
- Signing invitation
- Reminder emails
- Completion confirmation
- Declined notifications
Customizable elements:
- Subject line — use
{{signer_name}}and similar variables for personalization - Email body — add your message while keeping required elements
- Sender name — display as "Your Company" instead of Propper
- Reply-to address — direct replies to your team
Propper requires that certain elements remain visible in all emails: the agreement title, the signing link, and the expiration date (when set). These cannot be removed.
Signing page
Configure how your brand appears on the page recipients use to sign:
Header
- Logo visibility and position (left, center, or right)
- Header background color
Buttons
- Primary button color
- Button text color
- Hover state colors
Theme
- Default light or dark mode
- Font family (web-safe fonts)
Use Preview before publishing to verify your branding on both desktop and mobile. Most recipients sign on a mobile device, so mobile preview is recommended.

Advanced branding options
Certificate branding
Go to Settings > Branding > Branded Certificates to add your logo to completion certificates.
You can upload a separate certificate logo (it does not need to match the email logo). Choose its placement: top left, top center, or footer.
Multiple brand profiles
Create separate brand profiles for different brands, departments, or clients.
Setup:
- Go to Settings > Branding > New Brand Profile
- Configure the logo, colors, and email content for this profile
- Give the profile a descriptive name
Applying a profile: When creating an agreement, select the appropriate brand profile from the brand dropdown. Each agreement can use a different profile.

Best practices
Logo
- Simple designs scale better at small sizes
- High contrast between logo and background for visibility
- Test on mobile — most signers use a phone
Colors
- Match your website and primary brand palette
- Aim for WCAG AA contrast compliance for accessibility
- Test button visibility against the signing page background
Emails
- Keep subject lines under 50 characters for mobile readability
- Write clear, action-oriented messages ("Please review and sign your offer letter")
- Include your company name so recipients recognize the sender
- Avoid words commonly associated with spam ("free", "guaranteed", "click here", excessive punctuation)
Troubleshooting
Logo not appearing
- Verify the file is under 2 MB and in a supported format (PNG, JPG, SVG)
- Clear your browser cache and reload the branding settings
- Confirm the brand profile was saved before sending an agreement
Colors not applying
- Confirm the correct brand profile is selected when creating the agreement
- Clear your browser cache
- Verify the hex color codes are valid (for example,
#1A73E8)
Email deliverability issues
- Verify the sender email address is authenticated in your domain settings
- Check that SPF and DKIM records are configured — contact Propper support for assistance
